Hi, I’m John Morris, but I typically go by Johnny. I'm a senior at Benedictine College majoring in Electrical Engineering. I’m passionate about applying engineering principles to real-world challenges, particularly in control systems design and computer hardware. Outside the classroom, I’m actively involved in music as a drum major and a participant in multiple vocal and instrumental ensembles. I enjoy skiing, hiking, chess, and volunteering in my community. During my internship, I engineered intelligent design tools for integrated circuits by leveraging Python, FAISS, and cutting-edge AI models. I developed and deployed retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems that analyzed and generated SPICE netlists with high accuracy. My work involved embedding thousands of schematics, building custom pipelines, and optimizing model parameters to streamline analog circuit design.

Transformed and maintained golf course landscapes by strategically mulching flower beds, precision-edging and raking sand traps, installing structural metal edging, and ensuring proper electrical wiring. Applied problem-solving and attention to detail to ensure optimal functionality and visual appeal of grounds through hands-on weeding, repair, and layout optimization.

The IC Circuit Design Assistant is an AI-powered tool that streamlines the design of integrated circuits by leveraging advanced language models and vector databases. The files are currently unavailable to the public while we continue refining and testing the code.

Designed and built a 15V DC power supply module as part of an electrical engineering course. The project involved creating a schematic, selecting components, soldering the circuit, and putting it in a contained box. The power supply features voltage regulation and filtering to ensure stable output. This hands-on experience enhanced my understanding of circuit design, component functionality, and practical electronics assembly.

The system utilizes a temperature sensor to monitor the internal temperature and adjusts the heating element accordingly. Lead the Benedictine College marching band as the drum major, responsible for conducting rehearsals and performances. This role has enhanced my leadership abilities and deepened my appreciation for music as a form of service to the community.
Volunteer with Sleep in Heavenly Peace to build beds for children in need. Assist with sanding, staining, and cutting wood for bed-building events. This experience has been incredibly rewarding, as I've seen firsthand the positive impact that a simple bed can have on a child's life.
